Authenticity - Sellers

Oakville Consignment takes possession of all items and thoroughly evaluates every item to authenticate it.  We may request the Seller to provide supporting documentation (i.e. proof of purchase) during a detailed examination and research process to provide a suggested selling price.  Should any items require an additional authentication, Oakville Consignment will utilize, reputable independent authenticators, to verify the authenticity of the item.  The authentication service may take up to 5 business days, and the Seller will be subjected to a $40 CAD non-refundable service fee ($200 for Hermes).  

 A service fee of $250 will be charged to the item owner for any counterfeit goods. Oakville Consignment will not offer for sale any items deemed non-authentic. The owner will be asked to pick up their non authentic merchandise within 14 days of contact. Further to, post this date merchandise will be disposed.

Authenticity - Buyers

Oakville Consignment thoroughly evaluates every consigned item to determine its authenticity, quality, and value.  Should any item require an additional authentication, OC will use a reputable luxury goods authenticator, to verify the authenticity of the item.  Zero tolerance to counterfeit is our policy.  Any items deemed non-authentic, will be immediately removed from the marketplace.

Be assured that every item you purchase is authenticated, or 100% money back is guaranteed.  While we take the authentication of the luxury goods we sell exceptionally seriously, and will reject any item which authenticity is even remotely questionable.

If you require authentication, please advise us after deposit has been made. Authentication costs anywhere between $40-200 and must be paid by the seller.

To avoid wrongful claims, our money-back guarantee is only valid for up to 3 months of receipt plus proof of authenticity from two reliable authentication companies.
